Hand hygiene habits and hand eczema prevalence of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE: Hand hygiene has become an important building block in the prevention of spread coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The current study was conducted to determine hand habits healthcare workers and possible risk factors for eczema during COVID-19 pandemic. METHODS: personnel working at a university hospital since pandemic started were questioned between December 2020 February 2021 they dermatologically examined screen eczema. RESULTS: Of 150 workers, 56 (37.3%) doctors 94 (62.7%) nurses, 40 (26.7%) men 110 (73.3%) women. rate participants that reported washing their hands more frequently than 25 times daily 46.0% (n=69), disinfectant use 59.3% (n=89). While 88 (58.7%) used moisturizer daily, 62 (41.3%) did not moisturizer. Fifteen (10.0%) diagnosed with CONCLUSION: There increase frequencies disinfectants pandemic, but our data reveal any statistically significant factor
